So, I know I've extolled the virtues of Pandora Internet Radio on here many, many times before, but I've found a flaw: there's a terrible selection of classical music. I've ended up with a bunch of Christmas music derived from my basis of my classical playlist on Tchaikovsky. I HATE CHRISTMAS MUSIC!!!! The only Christmas-type music that I can ( Read more... )

I'm very surprised at how similar our sentiments about the festive seasons are. I'm not exactly "death to Christmas" myself, as much as I am "Celebrate Christmas in December; don't start two weeks before Halloween," but that's because I hate the commercialism of it all. I'm tired of the Santa Clause commercials already...him getting stuck in a chimney so a Hoover vaccuum gets him out, him getting stuck in a chimney so Aflack can cover his insurance...He's fat, I get it. I don't really blame you for being in a bad mood, because that's what schools are for: demoralization. But that's also because the entire American educational system is dysfunctional beyond most repair; the best way to cure it is to do a complete mass overhaul, but since American interests aren't REALLY aimed at education, the money will never reach the right people, meaning we will continue to be raising idiots to run this country. Our generation is the last decent generation being educated...and I use decent very lightly because we have lost all sense of moral decency at the cost of our elders' mistakes. I know that you have a thing about 'morality' and it just being a theory, but I use the term because that's the best description I have for the ideas I discuss at times. I'm sure (if you're interested) we can have quite the conversation about many a thing such as 'morality'.

I believe in morality. Just not sexual morality (apart from basic ethics such as being loyal to the person you're with and being honest with people).

Christmas still sucks though, lol. I mean, to me, CHRISTMAS STARTS DECEMBER 1st. DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING AT THE EARLIEST. NOT NOVEMBER 1st!!!!!!!!
