(no subject)
In another step up from "writing posts in my head and then not making them", I have moved on to "filling out memes and then not posting them", although with rather more justification as my reasoning is "that's boring and no one cares". Now I just have to move onto not filling them out and doing rewrites instead. Rewrites, thou art my mortal enemy.
Writing wise I still have the same two swords of damocles hanging over my head as before: finish the fucking pygmalion story so I can get it beta'd, and rewrites on asah. as before, i'm not doing either, but they're proving an excellent way to make me do other stuff in order to avoid doing them: blog posts, birthday fic for jess (filial incest rps, i live in a hell of my own devising), finishing the outline for the magicians fic, backstory stuff for the matinee idol fic, etc.
What I am not doing is producing anything I can send to anyone, nor am I sending anything of what I've got anywhere.
Today I went to the Natural History Museum and looked at ROCKS for hours, it was pretty great. I'm not going to lie to you, this choice was partially motivated by the Earth Galleries traditionally being quieter than the rest of the museum and the mineral bits most of all. I was not disappointed, and I learned stuff about chemistry and geology and history and geography so I shall call it self-improvement; tomorrow I am going to the Horniman Museum to commune with the fat walrus.
I feel less guilty about not doing anything of worth when I remember that I'm in pretty much the same state as the rest of the country.
