Still waiting for the other shoe to drop

Life what is going on this is alarming.

Currently engaging in an email free-for-all about when the V drinks should be held; they are Christmas drinks and people are already trying to push them to the last weekend in January. this is normal, previous V Christmas drinks have happened in June, and the V-Scot drinks for 2007 have just been pushed back again to February 2012. But. It would be nice to see people again. I think I have been doing a little better at Seeing People this year.

Started editing The Other Daughter today but was in a state of "whoops forgot to eat for 14 hours" delirium and probably need to go back over it again before passing it along to the lovely proofer. Haven't written anything on YT fic today (so far) but plan to have another bash at it in the library tomorrow, which should hopefully thrust a nail through its coffin and then GUYS YOU KNOW THE DRILL. Unexpected tax rebate for An Significant Amount means that I have spent a reasonable amount of time calling airfare price comparison websites a lot of very dirty names and I think I am going to have to pass the task along to a travel agent. I have left myself a three month window for potential flights WHY IS IT SO HARD TO FIND ANYTHING THAT'S ACTUALLY IN MY PRICE RANGE THEN goddamn you have £700 fares NOW ADSIPvh apochoacha DICKS DICKS AND TAXES.

Lots of shop favourites but no actual sales resulting from Melanie's extremely kind bout of free publicity for my jewellery, but I live in hope (and will be throwing some more stock up later I think); have ordered more copper connectors so that a load more stuff can be finished off (currently have about three necklaces just waiting on clasps).

Slightly babbly because I went to see Ruthi and Ruthi stuffed gin and rose syrup into my face and also hot chocolate and rose syrup and butternut squash soup and not rose syrup and a mince pie and then and then I had to wait a brief eternity for a bus which decided to drop the baton and then I had to play bus-relay to get home and then and then, Livejournal, WEATHER HAPPENED TO MY FACE. By which I mean it is very windy up on that hill, and some weatherly sod kindly hurled hailstones at my eyes with it.

Shut up, self do your work.

I leave you with this:

friends, babble, food, booze, editing, the v, ramble
