(no subject)
After some umming and ahhing, classmate and I - well, I, and therefore classmate - took a raincheck on the Indelicates gig tonight. My reasoning is 1. I am lazy. 2. I am lazy. 3. There was a five hour gap between being in class and doors for the gig and that usually results in either being obnoxiously drunk or losing patience with everything and going home before the gig anyway. 4. It's an album launch which I am not wholly at home with as I prefer to have heard material before I go and see stuff live. 5. Because you can shove it up your arse, that's why.

Finished reading The Gates. Have criticisms, but they're the same ones I always have of JC's writing so there's little point in writing them out again. I just feel that there is a more graceful way to introduce information into a story, John, and sometimes you have to leave things OUT.
Also saw James McAvoy and Anne Marie Duff from the bus today. I have no idea why it merits comment but there you go. Actors! In a place well known for being full of actors! Well fuck me sideways.
Day 21: How you hope your future will be like [what the fuck grammar is this? It's either "What you hope your future will be like" or "how you hope your future will be", please don't hedge your bets with word salad]
I honestly try to avoid looking too far ahead in my future because it leads to expectations and acute disappointment. Being a person comprised of many daydreams and few actual plans, it seems realistic to say "I hope my future doesn't involve being evicted, dumped, horribly ill, or accused of a crime I have not committed (or if we're honest, any that I have, either)". I'm unlikely to advance beyond this point unless someone drags me.
