Day 14: What you wore today
Today I poured my fat corpse into some denim shorts, a red shirt dress, a hanful of jewellery, and some slightly fluffier curls. I am endlessly perplexed by meme questions about what you're wearing. I cannot work out if they are Bored Teenagers On The Phone (teenagers, you can be bored on the internet now. There's, like, a million websites? TV Tropes? Wikipedia? Tumblr? PORN?) or sleazy twat on the phone, but there's something very phonelike about it. Also I'm incapable of being interested in what people wear day-to-day, or getting particularly excited about it.

Fat and Sexuality

This link showed up in a timely fashion closely associated with yesterday's Boo Hoo I Am Revolting And No One Wants To Fuck Me post, leading me to want to do a little revision to the position put forward there:

Or not "hate", exactly, but "find unattractive". Maybe it's my personality, maybe it's my face, maybe it's the whole package, I don't know, but I do know that the previous Fuck And Go douchebags aren't interested any more because I'm a heifer, and the Decent Human Beings who always avoided me like some kind of virulent STD vector with a foghorn and a leper's bell merely become part of the morass rather than bucking the trend.
I do agree with what riotsnotdiets is saying, though - the cultural stereotypy of "fat" as equal to "lacking in self-control", whether that's fetishised or demonised, which is a source of bitter amusement for me when I think how many "morbidly obese" friends I have whose diets are fiendishly restrictive thanks to the same fucking thing that made them fat in the first place. Which no, helpful commentators in the public eye who wish to suck up to the common preconception in order to win approval, is not "liking pies".
[Also, fuck Stephen Fry - AGAIN - for his lovely "you can't get fat without eating lots" crap at the QI filming. Turns out it is in fact possible to sit with a stony face while all around you are giggling; for an intelligent man he has a marvellous tendency to just pick up the most popular bullshit and repeat it like it's supportable].
I could rant on, but I have a more important problem than my butthurt and wounded ego, which is how the fuck do I get my stupid external hard drive to stop arbitrarily switching itself to read-only?
