REQUIREMENTS from my "1,500-word" article due in on the 10th of January:
manage a range of audio and MIDI file formats relating to the production of music using computers; resolve questions of cross-platform compatibility regarding computer software files and disk formats; evaluate current fixed storage media and methods of optimising their performance (optical disk drives etc); evaluate current removable storage media for their suitability for audio recording and storage purposes as well as 'cloud' back-up; have an understanding of the various computer network protocols in current use; analyse current practice in network systems linking a range of computer platforms; assess techniques and software for networking management using different operating systems; evaluate systems and techniques for real-time communication over networks and the opportunities they offer to the compositional and production processes.
SURE NO PROBLEM I MEAN IT'S NOT LIKE I DON'T EVEN UNDERSTAND WHAT ANY OF THOSE THINGS ARE OR ANYTHING.
