update a year later - work, memoir, music project

factory slowed down over the summer but grateful for the part time hours balancing the California house and tenant. go figure as soon as i really get the confidence in starting a career it begins to unravel months later. had not managed to find regular piano, and planned to move as of the spring; one goal has been achieved this year=upgrading apartment to where i would like to be more permanently. of course i get moved in and settled finally a few weeks ago to find out work has devolved to quite a toxic environment with half the coworkers, but that doesn't even seem to matter when the whole thing might go under by the end of the year.  im terrified of having to learn new specific skills AND people dynamics, hoping the winter is long enough to make the spring happen.

It's been 20 years this fall since the events of the memoir started and I have wanted to resume working on it since earlier this year, just needed things to settle with living situation/house business/getting any clue about stability with my job. may not be the best timing, yet could be a sign of shifting focus for a season. always this time of year has given me intense feelings of emotional processing...

the music project has gotten more spreadsheets (lyrics accounted for in inventory) but i have to re-do the sort for a handful of artists with rather large catalogues :-/ still about 30 albums left in the first version, and even started on the 2nd edition for variety; love the discovery of lyrics from bikini kill & heavens to betsy evocative of the riotgrrl angry attitudes. this time i'm keeping more data regarding which songs and how many tracks/albums are in the various artists' catalogues to get a better relative picture of my collection's focus.
