New quarter, new everything...

So it's spring quarter now! Yay for spring quarter! Except right before I caught the bus this morning I stabbed myself with a pen. Right in the palm of my hand. I was trying to hurry so I wouldn't miss the bus so I was trying to put on the lid and I jabbed myself hardcore. So I was bleeding and it's hurt like heck ever since. Hopefully Pilots can't give you lead poisoning. It was a bad omen so I went to the HUB bookstore and bought a new pen.

Classes look to be good. My Early Am. Lit class looks to be odd... first of all there is an annoying person from work in the class. Secondly, 50% of your grade is participation, 50% is these little in-class essays that are sprung upon you whenever. Sounds too easy. I may actually miss writing papers! The other bad news is that we have to read Hawthorne's "The Scarlett Letter." I've started that book four or five times but have been bored out of my mind. May have to invest in Spark or Cliff notes to aid my reading. Advanced Reporting should be fine, I'm a little nervous about going out and coming up with stories and sources. But I know half of the class already... Anna, Bridget, and Pamela are all in it. After class I ran down to The Daily with Anna and turned in a real application... hopefully I will be employed there soon! I put feature-writing down as my first choice because Anna said they were in desparate need of it. Plus she said they needed sportswriters but after I talked to Cory, the sports editor, he said he really only needs someone to cover crew, and who wants to haul out to hit the Montlake Cut at 7am on a Saturday morning? I'm not a fan of crew anyway. Then I had sportswriting and the class is half girls! I know just a few people in that class but Mike is such a great prof and I'm hoping his class will be great. He only knows a few of us because I guess he just started teaching 360 so most of these people he does not know. Advantage: Carr! Me!

So I just finished my reading for Ad. Reporting... now I have to read Poe for English. Then I have two short articles for Wed, a profile and an advance (which is just coverage of something before it happens, so I have to pick some sporting event to cover... probably a Sonics game). But to think... I could be in a real paper soon!

Still have to do my taxes... could tax forms be any MORE confusing?

Dr. Phil isn't on because of the Player's Championship. Golf on a Monday? What is going on in the world today people? Speaking of sports my bracket is shot to hell. My final four was Ok. State, Washington, Kansas, and Syracuse. So I lost. I still have a chance at winning the NIT bracket though!

Got lots of candy yesterday from Ky and his mom...she is so sweet! He also got me these bunny ears I wanted so now I can hop around the apartment and look like a dork! Yesssssss!

Well I will probably write more later but right now it's time to study.
