2012 was supposed to be better than 2011! What a rip-off! :/

Highlights of my year: a promotion in January (but I'm only now starting to feel comfortable in this job and not like I'm fucking everything up), a trip to a con in April (BP! and I met so many podfic friends in person for the first time!), AVENGERS, a return to cross-stitching.

I hardly created any fanworks this year, but luckily this isn't the first time so I already modified this to include both fic *and* podfic. :P

Looking back, did you write more fic create more work than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?

Less, but not by much? The last couple of years have been very difficult for me creatively, and while I'd hoped to be able to do more this year, realistically that was kind of a pipe dream. I did, at least, do work that I would never have expected in a million years (hello cross-stitch my old friend).

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write create for that you would never have predicted in January 2012?

Until I saw the movie, my knowledge of Avengers fandom was pretty much a) Steve/Tony seems pretty popular but doesn't do a whole lot for me, and b) I like Clint/Coulson, though. And then I saw the movie, what, 7 times in theatre? And watched all of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. And wrote an Avengers/EMH, Clint/Coulson fic. Because I do things like that when I get obsessed, I guess. >.>

Or maybe I should answer this with 'Teen Wolf wtf'. Never thought I'd find myself watching that show, let alone rolling around in it and creating fanworks.

What's your favourite story work of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest?

I always have an immediate answer for this question, but this year I think I have to say none of them? I'm pretty proud and happy with the work I did on yours for good, and I'm extremely happy that I finally finished the last of the help_haiti podfics. But I wouldn't say that any of my works are my favourite, or make me particularly happy in any way other than because they're finished.

Did you take any writing creative risks this year? (See above for unexpected pairings, etc.) What did you learn from them?

For pod_together this year I both wrote and recorded. That was a bad idea, for me, and I won't do that again. Only one or the other from now on.
