my day was not bad! i was very unmotivated, though. but not much rage. maybe you got it all? even though it was your day off? :( /sends mad amounts of happy nebulous things, using powers of mental visualization.
hmmmm. i remember hbp as being pretty unremarkable - i only read it once and haven't bothered rereading. i have to say that not rereading it didn't stop me from enjoying hpdh! (i am typing hpdh as general practice as i am one of the people who is very confused lately seeing dh all the time and having it not refer to the hewlett.)
Hey, now there's an idea! I should do *that* instead. Yes yes!
Am I the only one that doesn't associate DH and Hewlett? Well, I certainly will now, after talking about it, because that is how these things go. But. I usually call him The Hew, for which there can be no confusion.
I would suspect shenanigans, too, if I were a shenanigan planner.
Fuck, that's a hard word to type. Shenanigan. Shenanigan. Hey, it gets easier! shenanigan shenanigan shenanigan oh, now it's getting hard again. DAMN. <- is not as funny unless you've seen 'The Churchill Protocol' - no one else will understand, and I'm okay with that.
You know, they've been covering the Fringe on CBC - there is a possibility that you could actually see part of that play on tv and then know what I'm talking about! And how it sounds in my head! And then you could say it the same way too!! (you must sound disappointed and aggrieved at the same time. also it must be loud. and hilarious. this is a very bad description, sorry. D:)
good call. and yet sometimes i get confused with the numbers. which would be insanely embarrassing if i got it wrong and started calling it hp8 or something. :/
Yeah, I don't really remember anything from HBP other than those few crucial scenes, which is why I want to re-read it - I'm sure I've forgotten tons of stuff. I'm the kind of person who, upon seeing DH, always thinks of Doctor Who, which makes no real sense at all, so maybe I should use HP:DH?
Speaking of French: I bought a shirt today that says 'Keeping it Riel', which was entirely amusing and awesome so obviously I needed to have it. The fact that it was the last one in my size means it was totally meant to be.
i'm not sure i even remember the key points. i mean...that's the one where dumbledore dies, right? and harry has snape's potions book? but that's it, that's all i recall. i have no clue what the plot was, even a little.
Right! I mean, I know there's the Sectumsempra curse/spell/whatever that Harry uses on Draco. And...Draco using the Room of Requirement. And, like, Ginny and Harry hook up? Which I assume will be important later, based on things JKR said? But I really, really need to go through that book again to get my canon/fanon straight, because seriously, there's a BIG FRIGGING DIFFERENCE.
That's how I used to be, before I joined fandom. And now I'm confused! I keep expecting things to happen in HP5 and then I realize IT WAS IN A FANFIC. D: I've seriously spent DAYS worth of time reading HP fic and now have only a loose grasp of what is actual canon and what is, for lack of a better term, fiction. And the movies are no help considering they cut stuff out and re-arrange things and give one character's lines to another (and butcher the end of HP5, but I suppose that's just my opinion - everyone else seems pleased). NO HELP WHATSOEVER!
Oh man, in my head? All my capslocking sounds like a wacky stage actor. FRINGE, YOU HAVE CORRUPTED MY INNER DIALOGUE.

men planning shenanigans always suspect others of shenanigans.
