San checked to see if room 202 was unoccupied by opening the door slightly and peering in. When she saw that nobody seemed to be around, she entered and closed the door tightly behind her.
It was the biggest room on that floor; the place was at least the size of three or four rooms put together, and the ceilings were much higher than the individual rooms. The worn carpeting was still intact, providing a good amount of friction.
She looked over to the kitchen, which was separated from the main area by a short, narrow hallway. She could hear that people were there, but it didn't bother her much; they were probably going to be in there for a while.
The girl took out her knife and began practicing, moving fluidly as she jumped over a table and bounced easily from wall to wall. She slashed quickly at an invisible target, the fresh cut on her shoulder from the recent battle protesting when she did so. Ignoring the pain, she hopped back once again and landed perfectly on the table. It felt good to move around, even in this limited space. It kept her mind off of things.
