Justice SystemWithin the next few days there will be a lottery for a 'jury' among the occupants of the building. Everyone's name will be in, unless you specifically come to me and explain why you should be exempt

Danica certainly has her opinions on juries, and systems of government in general, but for now, she's going to keep her mouth shut on that.

"Who did what?" She asks, casually, and to no one in general.

Angua tenses even more when the vampire comes in, almost bristling in her chair when she looks up.

"Attempted murder," she says. "Do you have any legal experience?"

"Not exactly." She glances over. "I used to have people to do that sort of thing for me."

Damned vampires.

Angua shifts uncomfortably in her chair rather. "Then I suppose this doens't interest you, then."

[screams_trouble]

Danica shrugs indifferently.

"If someone's going around trying to kill people, I'd say that's of interest to everyone."

"The court system," Angua says irritably. "Unless you want to tell us how we should be doing it?"

For someone who was arguing Danica's case at the meeting she wasn't at, Angua's rather prone to snap judgements.

"I'm usually not interested in anything unless it directly affects me." She sighs, one hand on her hip.

"I don't know. I'm all grown up, would any of you listen to me if I did?"

Oh gods, Angua hates vampires and their bloody superiority allt he damned time.

"Why wouldn't we?" she asks coldly.

[screams_trouble]

Danica curls her upper lip in a half-smile.

"From what I hear, you all only take orders from kids."

Angua's eyebrows shoot up, and she stares for a second, and then she laughs.

"Really confuses the hells out of you, huh?"

[screams_trouble]

"You could say that, yeah." Another shrug. "Just another reason I'm beginning to think this really is hell."

Angua shakes her head patronisingly.

"No reason to think it isn't."

Drily,

"Let me guess, you're the pep squad leader?"

"What's a pep squad?"

[screams_trouble]

"Cheerleaders." Danica answers with obvious disdain. "Their job to make sure everyone's happy. Peppy."

Angua narrows her eyes slightly. "And I seem happy to you?"
