There is a giant sign on the 'bulletin board' that is the largest wall in apartment 202.

Justice SystemWithin the next few days there will be a lottery for a 'jury' among the occupants of the building. Everyone's name will be in, unless you specifically come to me and explain why you should be exempt

She might notice something wolf-scented walking up behind her.

"Hey."

"Hi, Albrecht," Angua glances back in his direction, and nods. She's tense, that's obvious, and even though she's sitting, there's an attitude of generally being poised to run. "How're you settling in?"

[wolfbitharder]

"Just fine. Saw that sign you put up."

It is obvious that she's tense. Being a werewolf himself, he knows she's probably feeling like a caged animal right now. He also knows he ain't exactly the world's best psychologist, so he's probably wrong, and he won't really try to pry. Just observe.

"You were king, right."

She doens't really care who knows that she's tense. But she does care about not letting it get in the way of her professionalism. Much.

"We have two detainees that need to be tried to as close to a satisfactory justice system as we can get. The problem is, trying to find out who's used to legal courts."

Danica certainly has her opinions on juries, and systems of government in general, but for now, she's going to keep her mouth shut on that.

"Who did what?" She asks, casually, and to no one in general.

Angua tenses even more when the vampire comes in, almost bristling in her chair when she looks up.

"Attempted murder," she says. "Do you have any legal experience?"

[screams_trouble]

"Not exactly." She glances over. "I used to have people to do that sort of thing for me."

Damned vampires.

Angua shifts uncomfortably in her chair rather. "Then I suppose this doens't interest you, then."

Rube comes into 202 for a bottle of water, and just to be visible for a little while, dammit. Big notice catches his eye. That wasn't there last time.

"So much for building a new utopia," he says to no one in particular.

She glances up, and almost smiles to see him, relaxing a little.

"Trouble with that is the fact that we have to use real people," she observes. "Hello, Rube."

He nods in greeting. "Angua."

Then, indicating the notice, "So, we've had ourselves a bit of a crime, have we?"

"Just a bit," she says, and sighs, sitting back in the chair. "At least you didn't have to do any work for this."

Monk eventually found his way down from the roof and back into 202, and regardless of how zombie-like he looked, he figured it'd be best to talk to Angua.

So that's what he does.

After eyeing the notice, he clears his throat a little bit.

"Angua?"

Why does she get the feeling he's oging to stress her out more?

Angua glances up with a tried expression and nods. "Yes?"

There's a pause as Monk tries to figure out what to say, since she... doesn't really look like she's up for conversation.

He decides a simple "Hi." will suffice.

"Hi," Angua repeats, raising an eyebow at the hesitance, before nodding to a chair nearby. "Are you OK?"

"I would offer my help if we both didn't know exactly why that isn't such a good idea," Iroh said to her, after reading the sign.

Angua turns briefly to notice him, and nods. "Thank you for the thought anyway."

Every sinew of her wants to run. But first she has to get this done right.
