Azula put the finishing touches on the missive she planned to send with Ty Lee to her brother’s concubine. Truly a work of art the script was an old form, almost impossible to read unless trained to it, and each character was picked for a different reason and perfectly drawn. It formed the words right, but the double meanings in the note where everywhere.
In the first line alone, one of the characters chosen to write the word sister was the sole character in the word ‘whore’ and so on and so forth throughout the entire letter.
Ty Lee would have to practice.
Azula smiled, and looked over her handy work and waited for Ty Lee.
Dearest Sister,
As tradition requires, and I have unfortunately been unable to do until the moment, I would like to bestow upon you a gift in honor of your betrothal to my dear elder brother. This will give you and I an opportunity to know one another better, as you are now affianced, if only by child, to our family. In the event that you would be uncomfortable meeting with me alone, though I do not know why you would harbor such feelings, my friend and confidant presenting this note will also be present. She too has been most eager to make your acquaintance. There will also be tea.
