You know, I usually wait until the Rifftrax mp3 is out to watch any of the Twilight movies. It's the most hilarious way to get through them. But I have come across a special way (I'll let you draw your own conclusions) to watch this final film and just couldn't resist the giggles to come.

I read the books, recognized them as irrational and overwrought (why was Edward in love with Bella, why?) and yet I found them strangely compelling. Yep, I read the whole fricking series and pretty much read each book in one sitting.
The movies are terrrible and I watch them purely for the cheese factor and I curse them for making Kristen Stewart famous enough to be cast in movies I would have wanted to see but for the fact that she's in them but I don't hate the Twillight movies or the book series yet at the same time I most certainly don't love it.
I'm stressing this because I would hate for anyone to think I secretly loved them. That would be horrifying.
When I was reading the books, they did keep me entertained and I did have fun discussing them with the respected female newspaper editor near retirment and the newlywed twenty-four year old guy who made me read them in the first place. (Side note, no, his wife hadn't read them yet- go figure)
Anyway, just had to clear that up. :)

If one good thing can be said of this, it's that girls (and some boys) were reading for fun. I only hope they took that to other, better books.
