I can't RESIST!

You know, I usually wait until the Rifftrax mp3 is out to watch any of the Twilight movies. It's the most hilarious way to get through them. But I have come across a special way (I'll let you draw your own conclusions) to watch this final film and just couldn't resist the giggles to come.

So I grabbed a bottle of wine and here I am.

I'm torn between ( Read more... )

silliness, twilight, bitching, books, movies

Hey! It is possible to neither hate nor love this series.

I read the books, recognized them as irrational and overwrought (why was Edward in love with Bella, why?) and yet I found them strangely compelling. Yep, I read the whole fricking series and pretty much read each book in one sitting.

The movies are terrrible and I watch them purely for the cheese factor and I curse them for making Kristen Stewart famous enough to be cast in movies I would have wanted to see but for the fact that she's in them but I don't hate the Twillight movies or the book series yet at the same time I most certainly don't love it.

I'm stressing this because I would hate for anyone to think I secretly loved them. That would be horrifying.

When I was reading the books, they did keep me entertained and I did have fun discussing them with the respected female newspaper editor near retirment and the newlywed twenty-four year old guy who made me read them in the first place. (Side note, no, his wife hadn't read them yet- go figure)

Anyway, just had to clear that up. :)

LOL. It's totally possible to have no strong feelings and just be interested in the phenomenon. It did take the world by storm and all (But whhhhyyyyyy?).

If one good thing can be said of this, it's that girls (and some boys) were reading for fun. I only hope they took that to other, better books.
