Still not over this

I will never stop squealing like a preteen about how TREY AND MATT HAVE CONQUERED BROADWAY!!! I have seriously been unable to concentrate on anything else since last Sunday. I mean, I still work (and write fic... sporadically), but most of my time has  been spent reading or watching every interview relating to this show, pre and post Tonys, listening to the soundtrack at least twice daily, and pretty much reaffirming my love for my boys so HARD,

In the spirit of that, I present a song from Book Of Mormon. This is the one I feel guilty about loving. I keep rationalizing why a good Catholic girl can love this song and not go to hell. Some rationalizations involve the plight of the people involved and sympathy with how abandoned they feel and some are about how the sentiment is turned upside down by the end of the musical and is just a terrible place to grow into a wonderful place from.

But really, I just can't stop humming that tune...

Just to show I'm not solely focused on Trey and Matt, I have watched Norbert Leo Butz more than a few times. I've seen that man in Wicked and other performances and thought he was just a nice looking blonde boy who can sing. When they showed the performace from Catch Me if You Can, i thought "Hey, that random middle aged man has a lot of talent, there." I didn't even realize, till the best actor award was given, that it was Norbert. I have to hand it to him. He's a hell of a character actor and earned this win!!

Unrecognizable! I don't know how good the rest of this musical is, but I'm pretty sure this character Norbert created is a classic.
