so this is me
it's been months since my last entry, but it seems like no time at all. i am sitting here in the lounge area of my new school, the only access to internet i have these days. my new apartment is really amazing, but i am disconnected from the world in my room. i have no cell phone service, no land line (yet), no internet (yet), no tv, nothing. but I'm having a lot of fun up here. All the students in my class are super nice, i'm getting to know a lot of them pretty well. i'm the baby in the group, but there is a guy that is 20 and thats not that much older than me, so i dont feel isolated at all. i fit in great with them cuz they are filmies like me. i must say it's great to be around people who have the same hopes and ambitions as me.
my teachers are really cool, they are basically industry people who are currently working on movies with robert zemekis, and big time projects and they all really know what they are doing. i feel much more comfortable here than i did at nyu although i know i will really miss the friends i made there. anyway, it's getting really busy for me here, we are in preproduction for our final thesis films and also concurrently working on a bunch of short pieces, casting, shooting, editing, and everything. this is what my life will be, and i can't express how happy i am that i am starting to live it.
anyway, i wont be able to go back to the south bay very often because my parents have allotted me 1 tank of gas a month, which as you know is nothing. but if anybody wants to come visit me out here in universal city, carpool and its not that bad of a drive. and i'll show you a good time i promise ;) hopefully my shoots will take place in the south bay so i have an excuse to go back and chill with everyone. hopefully i'll get internet soon.
