Beijing II. Forbidden City and Tiananmen square.

Chinese consider the Forbidden City as the center of the world. Within many centuries it was the residence of Chinese emperors - divine creatures that never showed up to ordinary mortals.
The adjacent Tiananmen square is an attribute of modern China - it is the Mao shrine and the main simbol of communist ideology.
