=======WHAT A LIVE JOURNAL IS

A live journal, as defined by Mary P.'s "Lost Lingo: A Dictionary for Concerned Parents" as Free online blogging service, with the included analogy of the following:

--Live journals are like ropes. They help you climb the social ladder. However, the rope (lj) only works if you reach out (type in your password) and grab it (pick a cool color scheme, generally an unreadable one) and pull yourself up (write daily updates as to how your life is going and how stupid everything else is, then open the forum for comments). It also helps to post some hawt pictures of yourself, especially when posed with two or three members of the opposite sex.--

This, however, is merely half of it. This free web-based journal is used as a tool for those who seem to have issues communication and solving problems themselves, and instead come here to open up the forums to comments regarding one's problems in hopes that somehow someone will eventually give you some helpful advice. It is also, however, a means of someone to go online anonymously to strangers, but known to friends, to complain about personal problems, and overall find some way to relieve stress in the form of writing, in which instance I'd like to say try POETRY.

This LJ, in itself, is a direct violation of my beliefs, but I believe that it is worthwhile, as it is completely going against LiveJournals by speaking bad of them.

=======WHAT A LIVE JOURNAL IS USED FOR

An LJ is used by one person, the so called webmaster of said journal, to point out their unique problems with their lives, making themself feel important because it induces their problems on the others in hopes of finding a means of agreement between 2 parties involved, or finding the correct choice for a decision.

The decision portion, in its entirety, is where the problem becomes introduced.

=======WHAT A LIVE JOURNAL IS USED FOR IN TERMS OF LIFE

An LJ is used in terms of life to solve one's life problems by opening a discussion on what others should do, and as I pointed out, the decision making process is where it really screws up. People in today's society for some reason completely base their decisions on what others think, yet those others cannot truly get inside of the mind of the person who has the problem, and cannot accurately experience the effects the problem is having on said person, due to lack of ability to truly show emotion via text other than using smileys and "text faces" such as ^_^ -_- >_< _> O_O O.O o_O o.O O.o O_o o_o o.o

In the terms of life, an LJ is merely a temporary relief that will not accurately solve ANY problem for any long period of time, and is more of a short term fix that people hope to work, because they seemingly have problems communicating to others about issues.

=======WHY YOU SHOULD CARE

You may be asking, at this point, "why do I care what some guy anonymously says over the internet about my journal?". This can be answered simply as this: it isn't a journal, it is a message board, and you should care because you're allowing your personal life, who you seemingly share with no one else, be shared worldwide with countless numbers of people you have never met, never heard of, and will never hear from other than through anonymous text.

Also, a journal is usually meant as a private piece of literature describing one's own life to themself as reminiscence on past events and occurances that angered, upset, overjoyed, etc. said person, and a Live Journal is mostly open to many people, rather than a private area.

=======Closing Arguments

As far as closing arguments go, I feel it is necessary to bring to the attention of readers what an LJ can do to a person due to the publicity of it.

There was an occurance at a GameFAQs known as "Life, the Universe, and Everything"(LUE), a shameless rip off of a great work of literature. This occurance was in reference to one female user having personal troubles, and TALKING ABOUT IT OVER A LIVEJOURNAL. As can be expected, idiots at LUE used their knowledge of what this girl was going through and spammed said girl's LJ, causing her to go into a mass depression and eventual suicide due to the public visitation rights that this LJ allowed.

=======WHY

Why what? This is merely the question I ask to everyone else who uses an LJ. I feel that the reader can fill in why I'm asking simply "Why".

Flame me if you want for this, I assure you, I really couldn't care less as to what you feel negatively about my post.
If, however, you are one of those who agree with what I have said, good for you, you have seen the light, and it is good, and you now know that you are not alone, and that there are, in fact, others out there who share you incredible passion against LJs and other Blogging services.

Thank you.

--Houston, we've made full use of the LiveJournal for the purpose of which we intended. Time to start more documentation and information as to the horrors of an LJ.
