2006 - The Year of The Coincidence
This is shaping up to be an interesting year. It all started Tuesday night. I was going to hang out with Aidan, but when I called him he was in the middle of something and said he'd call me back. So I decided to entertain myself. I went to Chapters to see if I could track down a book that Geoff had and I want. When I called him to ask the title of the book, he asked if I could meet him at his car shop in Maple Ridge and drive him home to New West, as his car had a service appointment at 8 the next morning. I said no problem, I wan't doing anything anyway. So I picked him up, we discovered the new Cinnamon Dolce latte at Starbucks (ORGASMIC!), and I dropped him off at home. On the way back, I decided I should probably dig my phone out of my pocket incase anyone was to call me. As I pulled out my phone, I noticed that I had JUST missed a call. I checked, it was Aidan, so I called him back. We spent some time just chatting as I was driving when he, out of nowhere, asks me if I am driving. Thinking that he was going to give me another lecture about cellphone usuage while driving, I hesitantly admitted that I was.
"Did I just flash my highbeams at you?" he asked. Curious, I said, "Do it again." Sure enough, he was driving right behind me. What are the odds? So we quickly made arrangements to just meet at his place for a cup of tea, and hung up so as better to safely drive. Once at his house, we discussed how that coincidence really blew our minds. We chatted about a few topics, as we usually do, and becasue we eneded up talking about Rush lyrics, I commeneted that T had randomly texted me those lyrics one night, and how whenever I hear from T, which hadn't been for a while, it is usually in a really random way. I went home and to sleep.
Wednesday at work, no less than 4 times I went to pick up the phone to call a patient, only to have the phone ring and that patient be on the other end, calling me. I got a completely random MSN message from T. Aidan messaged me from Kieren's to tell me that the new Gina House is the same house he and his family used to live in. Last night, Rye and I went for dinner and ended up at the same restaraunt as my parents. WTF?
These coincindences are starting to add uo, and it is getting interesting to see what else wil happen.
News of note: New Years involved Rye working until one, me mothering a drunken Marco who had puked all over himself, and Denny's with Kelly, Aidan, and Rye. I start schoool on Monday and I can't wait. Christmas was good; lots of clothes for work and PDP. I ordered an iPod Nano, and it left Memphis, TN at 3:20 this morning, and should be here on Monday. Please people, I need song suggestions so I can pimp my Nano!
