Christmas post
First off, I was the lucky recipient of not one, but TWO awesome Emperor's New Groove Yuletide stories. I had asked for a backstory of how Kronk ended up working for Yzma.

People were very generous to me this Christmas. I received nearly 10 Kindle books/novellas, two paper books and I am very eager to read them. I also got some shirts I wanted, new PJ bottoms, Two made some great drawings of characters from the book I'm currently reading him, I have a new MP3 player because mine died, and some other odds and ends from people. I'm very thankful. And I think everyone liked the gifts I chose for them, too. Still waiting on a box from my friend in Boston, which disappeared off tracking radar for nearly a week but finally re-emerged yesterday ... in Las Vegas. WTF?
Meanwhile, my box to my mom in CA, which I mailed 11 days before Christmas, has still not arrived, which means my mom did not have anything to unwrap Christmas morning. :( Another box to Florida, mailed a week before Christmas, did not arrive in time, either. I completely understand the burden the USPS is facing, with record numbers of packages and their staff decimated by Covid, but it's still frustrating.
As for the rest of our Christmas Day - I had a nice long Zoom chat with my mom (there was also a massive 45-window Zoom chat last night in lieu of my family's annual holiday party), a short phone chat with my dad, and we also had to go outside and rehang a bunch of our Christmas lights as we had a CRAZY storm last night, with howling winds and driving rain. Lost a shingle, as well. There was the usual feast for dinner, and we're now watching Wonder Woman 1984. So, all in all, a good day. :)
