American gifts
I have some international (European) family members and non-LJ friends to whom I would like to send a small gift to this Christmas. I would like it to be something "American," as they have in the past sent me/my kids things that represent their own countries - food, little trinkets, etc. But I'm drawing a complete blank as to what would be an appreciated American gift. I can't think of non-perishable foods that would be a special treat, compared to what's already available over there. I can't think of products that are typically American, and not something already available, etc.
If you live somewhere that isn't the USA, is there something YOU would appreciate, something you like in America or associate with America, that would make an easily mailable gift? Edible, non-edible, for adults, for children - what could I send these people?
