Yeah, I'm definitely thinking this is back to the Glee I love, so that's a good thing :)
Kurt's solo was amazing; I was a little teary the first time I heard it, and that was without seeing the show! And, at least as far as I heard about them casting baby!Kurt, they just held an open audition and were all a little freaked out about how much he looked like Chris Colfer when he walked in xP
And I agree, I don't like that they didn't address the whole Finn-not-praying-for-Burt thing, but I can understand that they had to keep all of his prayers selfish to drive home the point that prayer, unlike Finn's thoughts, doesn't work like a magic genie where you wish for something and it happens immediately. I also kind of got the impression that he took Kurt's request not to pray for Burt a little too seriously, (although I'm on the fence there as well because I don't like how Mercedes, Quinn and Rachel just waltzed into Burt's hospital room to pray when he'd told them not to. If they'd shown them praying together but somewhere private, like one of their houses, I could understand, but it didn't strike me as being very respectful of Kurt's wishes even though their intentions were good). Finn this season really seems to be treading lightly around Kurt, though, so I wonder if that wasn't a part of it.
I'm sorry to hear about your father; I couldn't even imagine losing a parent at a young age as we live so far from the extended family that we really only have each other, but I could definitely see where Kurt was coming from with his 'I believe in us' statement.
All in all, I thought it was a solid episode, and I hope that the episodes continue on a good note :)
