YAY, THE GLEE I LOVE IS BACK!!!!!
Honestly, I'm a Christian, although I've gotta say that I'm on the more liberal end of the spectrum (my church, for a long time (ie, until he retired) had an openly gay pastor and some of our favorite youth activities were playing either Guitar Hero or Super Smash Brothers), so I like the way that they handled this episode.
Christians weren't portrayed as overbearing and Atheists not as villains, and I think they found a very acceptable middle-of-the-road. Those who had faith to begin with still had faith in the end, and Kurt wasn't magically converted over the course of one episode, so I think it was handled well.
I've heard all of the songs before, but I still have to say I love the song choices in this episode for the most part (although, Rachel's song was a little...odd, and I admit to not watching all of it, but it just kind of seemed like an excuse to give Rachel another solo. Where she cries. Again). But all of the other songs were appropriate, and I'm still shocked at how much baby!Kurt looks like Chris Colfer. It's uncanny.
Ah, past that, there's not much to say. Finn and Kurt had some nice scenes, although it's obvious that they still have some issues to work out (but it seems like we'll be getting more of that, so yay!). And I have to admit, Kurt's face was priceless when Finn admitted to having a new man in his life xP
Back to Rachel, urgh, writers, you're still not making me feel any better toward her. Honestly? Her speech to Finn about 'my life' and 'my choices' and 'my kids' and 'my faith?' Really? And they expect us to LIKE her?
And, even though Finn was utterly clueless, I still think he's awesome, although DUDE, MAKE A NEW SANDWICH! At least he kept it refrigerated...
As for next week's promo, yay more Kurt songs! I'm kind of indifferent as to Sam and Quinn at the moment, but we'll have to see what happens with that. It looks like a lighter episode, which I think is needed after this week. I just hope they don't magically forget that Burt was ever in the hospital or something, but I have hopes that they'll continue that storyline (and maybe we'll get to see some of the legendary Friday dinners? Y/Y?)
That's about it, folks :D
