Glee-View 3x07

So, to me, this felt like Glee: funny, heartwarming, slightly random, and few moments that made me raise my eyebrows. This is why I love this show, and this may be a minority opinion, but I thought it was wonderful.

Thank you, Glee, for finding yourself again <3

-THERE WAS KINN/FURT!! Not much, but they talked and between Finn and Kurt sitting so close in the last scene, them all 'celebrating' (I use the term loosely because Kurt was rather upset in that scene) Burt's win (Finn looked so happy there <3), Finn pushing Jacob away from Kurt and basically telling Rachel that if she didn't own up Kurt would suffer for it. And of course Finn voted for him and looked so happy about it.

-The Klaine was cute. WTF was Kurt wearing with that half-sweater, though, especially when that red shirt looked great on him and his *waist*, and that other thing was just distracting. Costume department, Chris looks good in anything. Stop trying to prove that theory wrong.

-I liked Puck for the most part, even though I don't understand why he's so hell-bent on being with Shelby. The rest of the time he was awesome, although his hair gets worse every week...

-I'm a Quick shipper, and their interactions reminded me a lot of S1 Quick when I loved them. I loved their last scene and just...yeah. I ship it. :)

-Sue was bearable for me in this episode, and not too over-the-top. I actually enjoyed the Sue/Beiste/Cooter storyline and usually I hate the adult storylines.

-Will didn't do much again ;)

-YAY BURT! Even though they totally glossed over that xP

-Rachel, what on Earth possessed you to do that??? Admittedly, the *spoiler* songs for Sectionals don't suffer without her, and they're all incredible. Plus everybody (except Rory) gets to sing which is...yes.

-FINN. What he did for Santana was so sweet and so genuine and he didn't have to after all the crap she's put him through, but he genuinely cares and wants to keep her safe and let her know that she's loved, and his song was so emotional and heart-warming. That was so great.

-There were a lot of characters who did nothing, weren't there? \

-The scene with Santana and her grandmother fell flat for me. It just didn't have the power from either of the actors the way Mike's did when his father disowned him, and it just kind of felt...like it should have been so much more.

-No sympathy for Rachel.

-I think that's it. But I really enjoyed it and for the third week in a row it *felt* like Glee, which is all I can ask for :)

-I'm going to do something a little different tonight and talk about the songs by themselves, because I feel like it :)

'Perfect' - this SONG is perfect, and I hate how they chopped it up for the episode. The full version is magic and even though Darren and Chris' voices can clash sometimes they mix incredibly well and they're utilizing Chris' lower register and he sounds incredible.

'I'm The Only One'- as my mom pointed out, she loves Mark's voice but he doesn't have the rasp Melissa Etheridge does and it's particularly noticeable on the chorus. Also I couldn't stop looking at that hideous mohawk. It was a lot of fun, though, and he sounded good for what his voice can do :)

-'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' - I LOVE THIS ARRANGEMENT AND I LOVE CORY'S VOICE AND KEVIN'S HARMONIES AND CORY'S VOICE AND IT WAS JUST...AMAZING. *Applauds madly*

-'Jolene'- Yay for Dot getting a solo! She was on-tune and it was filmed really well and I think it fit, even though Sue doesn't really fit the 'Jolene' stereotype xP

-'I Kissed a Girl'- I liked the song better than the performance, which I've talked about before but the choreography was weak and it just didn't seem to go far enough. Also a song about a straight girl getting drunk and kissing another girl for kicks doesn't seem to be that empowering for Santana, and pop numbers and Lea's voice do not mesh well for the most part. I did love Kurt/Blaine just taping them, though xP

- 'Constant Craving' - Everybody sounded great and I loved the cuts in this song, and Chris at the end was so perfect and his voice fit so seamlessly into the song and I thought it was great. Also yay for Canadian music!!!

-NEXT WEEK. NEXT. WEEK. BLAM AND BLINN AND STRIPPER!SAM AND SEBASTIAN AND AWESOME SONGS AND IT JUST LOOKS INCREDIBLE. NEXT WEEK COME QUICKER PLEASE.

SAM. SAM SAM SAM I HAVE MISSED YOU. AND YOUR ABS.
