So yeah, it's been pretty hot around here in Colorado as of late. Most of the time I wouldn't complain about that, except for the fact that even while I was in training in Alabama, most of the buildings had air conditioning. Here at my apartment I have nothing but a couple of fans which do little more than push hot air around. I'm finally breaking down and buying one of those fans that you put water in, but it's still pretty hot around here until then.
Recruiting events are certainly making things interesting around here. It turned out that the school had tried to contact ROTC back at the end of May, but they didn't get a responce and subsequently wrote us out of the summer orientation program entirely. So I had to write us back in at the last minute. Set up in general has been a nightmare where this is concerned, but we're still plugging through it.
Let's see, I've finally started using my DevArt account again after about 4 months of absence. Take a look when you get the chance.
On a side note, if you're into military history, pick up "The Cold War" by John Lewis Gaddis. I'm learning a lot of things I had never thought about.
