Wacken 2007 - Faster, Harder, Louder
So about Wacken 2007~
(before I forget about writing just like for Ruisrock T___T )
WEDNESDAY
nymeria_snow and I started our trip last wednesday~
I just slept 2 hours so I felt quite crappy and we nearly missed our train .__."
but we were quite lucky, it was late xDDD
so we arrived Itzehoe at about 2pm~
Even managed to catch a taxi quite easily, at least we just waited for... well one hour, hein?
(Others waited quite longer Oo" )
And at Wacken, before we got our wrist bands (what ever they're called Oo) I met some guy who was there to see Dir en Grey, too~
We talked a bit and he asked if nymeria_snow and I would like to join their group for camping~
They were weird, yes, but really, it was fun, guys xD
(don't you ever say sorry for that again, listen?)
Since there weren't any concerts at Wednesday we spend the evening talking
THURSDAY
We woke up quite early and went to Wacken to buy some Coke and Beer~
The way to the supermarket was quite long so we decided just to buy a small package of Coke and when we passed one of the festival supermarkets we stopped for some Wacken beer
Still got bruises from carring the beer x__x
In the evening we went to see Rose Tattoo from Australia
(and asked if the Dir en Grey shirts already arrived o_ov of course they weren't .___." )
Well
nymeria_snow told me Rose Tattoo would be in their 60's and I really thought they'd be like Hanoi Rocks x___x
They were much better than I thought and looked younger that 60 xD
Their music is pretty cool too~
Some old school Rock'n'Roll o_ov
So I decided to join
nymeria_snow for the autograph session, instead of just waiting for her~
Was quite funny xD
and direcly afterwards we went to Blind Guardian~
Their session took 2 hours and we just made it in time Oo"
Met some boy who was playing DSA (Das Schwarze Auge, German pen and paper RPG) so he and Alex (one of the camping guys to joined me and
nymeria_snow waiting for the autograph sessions) exchanged some stories~
and I love listening to those since I used to play DSA aswell xD
So time passed quite fast and we got our autograohs~
Think Blind Guardian were quite pissed after a two hours autograph session and still no end to see xD
FRIDAY
Woke up at... 10am?
Of course I checked the merchandise stand for the Dir en Grey t-shirt~
Again, nothing, "maybe tomorrow..." they said...
well, we went to see... mmh...
Think it was Napalm Death o_o they were pretty loud and all songs sounded the same .___."

Well afterwards Therion *____*
Uuh~ they were awesome *_______*
I love this mixture of melodic and loud music~
And their stage was wonderful, Church-like~
Possessed played right after Therion, but not my taste~
But Grave Digger were pretty cool~
Got some of their CDs a while back, but didn't like it for some reason, but their concert sounded pretty cool and likable~
But after Grave Digger I went back to our tent, I didn't feel well...
(Got some small problems with my breath, should talk to my mom about that)
Bu I came back for Blind Guardian, Schandmaul and Iced Earth~
I've never seen them live before and also missed their new album o_ov
But eventhough they announced which songs were new and which ones were old, you could hear so yourself...
At least I knew the old songs xD
I was standing next to some Viking-like dressed bawling drunk... x__x
But I enjoyed the show x3

These guys are~ LOVE
Their music is well... German Folk Rock?
But awesome and danceable~
I really love their music and seeing them live (ah didn't really see them, heard them xDD couldn't see anything) made this love grow even more~
It must have been awesome to make the whole audience, don't know how many people came to see Schandmaul, cower in front of you~
"You are able to jump, you are able to sing, so let's see if your thinghs are still working >D Cower!"
Well, most people did so... anybody else "Oh come on, those who stay standing are stupid! *sounding like a little boy*"
And nearly everybody cowered and he made us jump x_x ouch
Sometimes we could even hear (forgot who played at the Blackstage that moment) the noises from the Blackstage...
But Schandmaul managed to kill their noise perfectly <3
Just Awesome~
Aww~ I should find about their future gigs near by ;___;
well after Schandmaul we saw?
ah, think it was Iced Earth .___."
Well, I don't habe any opinion about Iced Earth....
Still don't have .___."
So right after Iced Earth we went back to the tent (it was deadly cold ;___; )
SATURDAY (Dir en Grey x3 )
Finally~ Dir en Grey *~*
Another try to get hold of the shirts but still: None ToT
Ok but doesn't matter
I thought it might be better to get to the stage early... and at a look at moonspell (ok... just to get a good look at Dir en Grey :D )
Moonspell... honestly... not really my taste and worse: I got sunburned x_x
directly on my head and my face (and even my arms are brown o_O" )
It hurt ToT
If I had been just ONE meter nearer to the stage I wouldn't be sunburnt damnit
Too bad... too bad...
also too bad: I can't find the setlist anywhere u_u
but it shouldn't differ too much from their other tour concerts in Europe o_o

It was stunning to see them walking on stage, supported by a techno-like intro :D
Think Kyo's little blood show made lots of people wonder... that walking meter being that much psycho... they didn't expect that xD (just like at Rock am Ring 2005)
And the best thing: no shrieking fangirlies *___*
at least I couln't hear them *~*
Die enjoyed some cool nice beer onstage... (I envied him a lot u_u It was damn hot and HE GOT COLD BEER T__T I didn't)
And Kaoru... damn x_x I've NEVER seen a guy having such a "Look at me - I'M GOD" attitude xD
I love that attitude xD
Well, Toshiya was hot as ever *~* and his smile...
Sadly... Shinya was hiding behind his drums u_u
and I couldn't take pictures... but no problem, others did xD
back to Kyo... he's totally psycho, no doubt and I wonder if his actings are that healthy... but that's his case, I don't say anything, but I admit I love his show *~*
(and I was lucky: He didn't do his little show in Dresden)
and after their gig... he took some bucket, put it on his head and it had "RAPE ME" written on it xDDDD
Tehe xD good gag (seems to love buckets Oo" )
I was damn happy to hear them playing Obscure *~* and Agitated Screams of Maggots~
(later in Dresden you could hardly hear which song they were playing... the problem has got a name: Karaoke fangirls)
(ah and before the show, I got my shirt :D
Looks a bit like a screaming mummy xD
but at least I got one~ bought an other one in Dresden o_ov with a bat.)

But who cares when you're going to get your "Withering to Death" booklet signed by Dir en Grey~
Sadly... "just" Die and Toshiya appeared for the session, but better than nobody *~*
(and again... cool... refreshing beer for Die and Toshiya... I really need a beer too xD or any other drink x_x )
But honestly, there's not much to say, just: it was stunning, they were hot and I'm totally happy *~*
and they signed my booklet *~*

Ah Subway to Sally, but they weren't thaaaat good, it was more like a huge advertisment for their new album u_u
And In Flames!!!
They were just LOVE xD pure fun xD
Well Anders Fridén talked lots of rubbish but aww xD
(Like celebrating 20 years of Nuclear Blast "They discovered us when we were a pretty shitty band... but now... we rule!" etc xD )
This band is worth saying "Probably the best band in the world" at least live o_ov
Maybe they aren't the ONE but they're one of THEM xD
Didn't really sleep from saturday to sunday... It was more... like staying at the border between sleep and being awake x_x
But at least I arrived at home xD
without any problems o_ov
