J-Dorama Summer 2013 Reccomendation
This summer i wanna reccomend 2 J-Dorama for you ....
1. Pin to Kona
This drama tell about a son of the prominent Kabuki family, Kawamura Kyonosuke who has nickname Prince of Kabuki. But not because of his performance, it`s because his family name and his look. He is so lazy and ignorant so his performance goes bad too. Why he act like that? Because of he lost his mother from young age and father who doesn`t care about him except Kyo's Kabuki Performance *but as the story progresses, actually his father really care about him). Suddenly a girl who has watch his Kabuki`s performance come and scold him. It surprising him since there's no one who care about his performance. After that he found out, she is Chiba Ayame. One of girl in his high school.
Chiba Ayame is one of tough girl kind. Have same character with "Tsukushi Makino" from Hana Yori Dango. She is so cheerful, energetic, poor, kind, and help the one who weak. With differences, she is living alone and work to pay all her need by herself.
As usual like this kind of dorama... after getting to know about each other, Kyonosuke starts to fall in love with Ayame. But, Ayame loves Ichiya. Ichiya is one of promising kabuki actor but he doesn't come from Kabuki family. And this is the start of triangle love, Kabuki rivalry and Friendship- Family story ...
Why i reccomend this dorama? Because this drama has overload of Johnny's actor *i`m such a JE fan hehe* especially Tamamori Yuta. He is one of promising young actor. After I see him in this drama, his acting improve from before. His character in this drama like Tsukasa Domyouji in Hanadan except he is so kind and from point of view romantic story he is like the 2nd guy even he is the lead.
This is the first Kabuki related drama. I learned so much about Kabuki from this drama and this is so much interesting!
2. Starman ~ Kono Koi no Hoshi
This dorama tell about a single mother with three kids who has abandoned by his own husband. Her name is Uno Sawako. Sawako take care her child with help from her mother. She work alone to fill need her 3 sons and her own mother. Nonetheless, she is a woman with cheerful and energetic personality.
After a night when a star fall and she make hope about God to send her a good man, Hoshio, a man who is suffering from amnesia, suddenly appears before her.
Is he really the one who God sent for Sawako? But this human not a normal kind man. Actually, the real Hoshio named Tatsuya already suicide and inside his body there`s an alien from space! It`s kinda unexpected for me. Actually i predicted this is just a warm happy family drama but it`s even more. Hoshio has supernatural powers like walking fast, great strength can stop one truck, heal wound and many more (But I wonder why every real person in this dorama never asked him about his power. He is strange you know??)
But because he is possessed by alien, sometimes after he see star or something that trigger his alien he will act odd.
Another twist is when he know his past. He is actually a really bad person. Can he change into Hoshio who has very kind personality?
Why i choose this dorama? This is a really warm family dorama with comedy inside. We see how Sawako struggle to meet the needs of her family and solve her own problem, Three childs with different personality, Hoshio with his own unique problems, and every person beside Sawako who have their unique characteristics. It`s really an interesting dorama with unexpected twist. And i hope for unexpected ending too :)
Beside the story, i really like Ryoko Hirosue acting. The lead male, Fukushi Shota is one of promising young actor in Japan too. Btw, Shota was born in 1993 so he and Ryoko have 13 years age difference. But i still doki doki whenever they kiss or rabu-rabu moment hehe.
