My make-believe girlfriend

So back last year when I started working at this client I made plans to meet up with zorra to have dinner while I was in town. Little did I know when I made the plans that the head of our organization would be in town the first few weeks of the project and would demand all my time. So I had to call J and postpone our plans the first time, outright cancel them the second time and arrive late the third time. This entire time all the guys who worked for me and who I worked for thought I made up J as a way to just get out of work earlier than everyone else. Even when one of the guys who worked for me came to dinner (granted he sat at the bar all night cuz he's a dork) and met her they did not believe that she was a real person. So fast forward to almost a year later. The bosses are planning on coming in to town, want to eat at Gladstone's, their favorite bar (or should I say home of their favorite bartender) but they won't get in until later and I hadn't seen zorra in a long time so I invite her to keep me company and so that we can catch up. So J is introduced to the insanity that is Gladstone's and April the bartender and we have a great time talking and catching up. The bosses call, ask what I'm doing, tell them I am catching up with J and they still think I am making her up. Needless to say when they finally arrive and she's still there they are speachless. J was a great sport, I had a nice evening and we learned all kinds of incredible drama in the process. So thank you, zorra, my make-believe girlfriend, I owe you some Weitzman's.
