When the pain medication kicks it, and you get that first ebbing of pain, it flows back but not as strong, and it ebbs again, comes back even weaker, you know it's been beaten back this time.

So there, Migraine wannabe, you are going away, and I didn't throw up.

Woke up with nasty one this morning.

1: Drank some water, waited a goodly while.. no change.

2: Did some deep breathing/relaxation exercises... no change

3: Went outside for fresh air and a bit of a meander... no change.

4: Self massage of neck, jaw (sternocleidomastoid muscle), temples and scalp.. no change

*sigh*

5: Panadeine.

But no where near as bad as it was when I woke up. So much cooler today. It hit 42.2c (108 F) yesterday, but so far today, it's only gotten to 29.3c (85 F). Still warm, but not scorching hot. Might get to 33c (89 f) but kind of hope it doesn't quite get that high.

Either way, I think it's going to be a laid back, mellow sort of day.

Was outside taking off crumbling pool cover (the Aussie sun pretty much toasted the one I got last year, turning it brittle) and noticed that rain water had managed to leak in. There was a bit of green on the bottom. 1.5 liters of cheap household bleach, hosing out of the filters in the pump, and using the gadget I rigged to vacuum the bottom. It's ( Read more... )

Started as earache-ish feeling last night. I have resorted to 'better living thru chemistry.
