The good news: my eyesight has stabilized. And found out the reason I have been having eye and headaches. The right contact lens was 10 degrees off axis. That will be remedied with different brand that has the right curve ( Read more... )

Dr Sherry was thrilled with how well and fast the graft is healing. Blood supply is feeding all the way to the edges and the edges are holding nicely.

He did say that the graft will look worse before it gets better, but looks is the operative term. It will get redder in appearance due to more blood supply while it heals. Once the healing is all ( Read more... )

And her corneal graft was a success. Now the poor muffin has to wear a cone. I just watched her do a circuit of the room backwards. She looked like a furry Nautilus.

The ophthalmologist looked at Ziggy's injured eye, and she will be getting a corneal graft in about 30 minutes or so. She was feeling better after having a topical anesthetic put in her eye. Started purring and kneading on her 'blankie' I brought to the Vet ( Read more... )

Trialling new contacts, with different strengths. Left eye for reading and up close work, right eye for distance viewing. I can't explain how odd it feels, but I do see what the Doc meant that if you don't think about it, it's pretty danged nifty! It's great to be able to read without burying my nose into the book.
