Ripped out the dead catnip plants from the pot they were in. Fed the two lime trees and the orange tree with specialized plant food for citrus. Mixed up batch of regular plant food for all the other potted plants ( Read more... )

After treating my chili tree, successfully it seems, for woolly aphids, here are the first two ripe chilies from it. Don't let the small size of these fool you, one of these can boost a pot of chili from 2 burner to 3 burner.

Chili Tree #2 is now residing in what used to be the pot for the lime tree. I had tried to put it in a different pot but hadn't realized it was so pot bound and in need of more depth. Had I known, I would have transplanted it into the old lime tree pot, and put the sage seedlings in the hanging pot. Will wait until the sage is a bit recovered ( Read more... )

I had taken the hamburger/beef mince out of the freezer early this morning. I wanted to start making my 3 burner Chili for dinner. I went out at 1pm, thinking the hamburger would be defrosted. *sigh* Nope, you can hammer nails into a wall with it. Making "Texas 3 Burner Chili". I usually would make 4 burner chili but I did that once, and poor aikidomayland and our guest Elliot couldn't handle the chilies I had prepped to make the chili, so no on the 4 burner.

Gave aikidomayland a small sample of it. He likes it... he REEEEEEALLY likes it.
