Slightly ill after Saturday's gig - I was at school, but I have sneezing fits, and my head feels like it's filled with cotton. Consequently, I didn't do anything on my presentation.

School is eating me up these days, and I don't know what to do about it. The gig was good, though.

Too much to do, no time to write - except right now, as I am home on sickleave for three days with a cold. Yesterday was a true crap evening. First, I called my mother and learned that she may have to have surgery to have what may or may not be initial cancer removed. I mean, better to have it discovered and removed than not, but still... I worry! I mean, people in my family usually live to be 90 - 100 years - IF they don't get cancer before that! Ko Tao is really a bit of a dream island as one imagines it - palm trees, beach hangouts etc. We did four dives so far - 2 yesterday afternoon, two this morning. There are beautiful tropical fish and corals, though not as much of the 'big stuff' yet. Still, diving is nice and easy, and the rest of the time is basically spent hanging out. I'm ( Read more... )

Apart from the fact that I actually sat down and wrote an urgent abstract for the one conference I plan to attend this year (a morning activity, still in my bathrobe, eating cold pizza), this is one of the Sundays when I'm just doing nothing.
