So, after working my butt off for two years with barely a moment to breath and 40 hours in the office each week winter quarter with a full schedule of classes -- *gasp* I finally had a chance to breath this spring. I figure this is my equivalent to a senior spring quarter before I head into a year of super-intense grad school. I think I did an OK job making the most of the quarter (even if the new free time was largely imagined). My only regret is that I hit this point when SEA YAK was still in mid-junior-year mode. Alas, but you can’t have everything.
Here are the highlights so far (feel free to add what I’ve missed):
Art museum 3 times - Kira, Natasha, grandparents, alone
Sanbitter was gross but I drank it with Kira’s help
Looptopia
-yoga in cultural center
-yoga at dawn in Millennium Park
-funk rock marching band … thing
-cultural center flashlight tour
-mouse and living art that made Sameera’s night
-tango to weird sisters
-billy goat makes me happy
-cookie ice cream thing at favorite pizza place which was too crowded so we ordered takeout and ate it in the starbucks across the street
-Argo tea had strange frozen pear tea … mmmm, chocolate cupcake
-Sci-fi B movies, dude, look out for the laser arms
-locked out …
-… so observe strange-drunk-high people in park
-jazz band (and guy Kira and I think was hot but Sameera disagreed even though she didn’t really see him)
-ongoing story with Sameera inspiring prose about SEA YAK
-public mural with green … it was a SEA YAK?

Swing dancing with creepy asian guy, cool guys and Kira
Six flags with Amanda, Yooney, Kira and Natasha - I rock the midway games - Navy avoids me out of fear but I crush the reps of guys looking to impress girlfriends. Also a worthy case. MANGO ITALIAN ICE!

Movies and TV for homework is really hard (plus papers on it every week)
Jews in the USSR is an interesting follow up to last quarter, still hard as heck
Ottoman History is crazy hard but fascinating … poor, poor Jem Sultan
Meals in the dining hall ... dude, I, wow, it’s almost like I live in Plex
Apartment is beautiful. Sameera thought I was crazy for not demanding at gunpoint that the people sublet it to us the moment I saw its amazingness. Will have housewarming party.

Built a stone staircase for community garden, that feels awesome
