Lots of video game playing: what every Friday night should be

I am getting settled in at college. I have been here two weeks now, and I just finished my first full week of classes. I do not have much homework and, so far, my classes are easy. I am not expecting that to keep up, but I am taking a rather light course load (16 credits).

Last night I went to DDR club for the first time. There was too long a line for the metal pads (Cobalt Fluxes) to play very much, so I mostly played SSBM. I was definitely out of practice, but after a few rounds I was doing okay. I even won one round. I think the people there are better than me, but not by very much. I'll just have to practice more. :-D

After DDR club ended at midnight, I headed back to my dorm, where I found some people hanging out and playing Soul Caliber 2 (XBox) in Chris's room. I watched a few rounds and then played a little. Chris has a rather large collection of movies and games and he brought a XBox, PS2, GCN, N64, and SNES. I thought I brought too much stuff.

After that, I wandered back toward my room and found Karren and Brian playing Warcraft 3 (arranged teams on BNET). That was fun to watch. Karren was nice and calm and moving at a reasonable speed. Brian was moving really quickly. He just kept clicking the mouse button. It looked like he did every action at least three times. He kept cycling through all of his unit/building groups. I think he used to play Starcraft tournaments when he lived in Korea. I was just watching, but I will probably try to join them some other time.

I actually got some homework assigned sometime late last night, so I am going to do that now.

soul caliber 2, videogames, ddr, cornell, ssbm, warcraft 3
