news flash: warm balsamic strawberries are amazingly delicious.
I know, I was skeptical at first, too. vinegar? on strawberries? But I made this recipe:
1 Tbsp butter
2 C strawberries, hulled & halved
1/4 C sugar
1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
Melt the butter, add the rest, stir and warm through. It's just that simple. What you get is warm strawberries in a decadent syrup that just kills on vanilla ice cream.
