Two things, neither world shattering

Firstly, the Hawaii Five-0 big bang writing is going well. I have 17K words done of a first draft and I know where the whole story is going. The only problem is, my writing plan to finish in time relies on it being 40K and I have a sneaking suspicion it might not be enough to finish the thing. Oh well, just have to write faster.

The second thing is a recommendation for a book I read. Well, it's a series and I'm halfway through the second one. Soulless by Gail Carriger is the first book and a really ripping yarn. Vampires and Werewolves are integrated into society in Victorian London. They're not the sparkly, naff creatures we've been subjected too, but they're not killing everything that moves either. The second book is a bit more steampunk-ish than the first but there's hints of that in the first. And the heroine, Alexia Tarabotti, is the absolute antithesis of girls who like sparkly vamps :-)

I feel, once the Big Bang is done, I might be writing a cross over/fusion thing where Danny's a werewolf and Steve's a...well, he's going to be very much like Alexia Tarabotti. Read the book and find out what Steve would be.
