So, how was your weekend?
Mine was not long enough. I didn't even get to open my email as frequently as I usually do.
Saturday
*Enjoyed the DC Chili Cook-Off and had lots of fun with reene
+ saw 3 doobies, 1 coke sniffer (right beside me, eww) and 5 pairs of boobs ("drunk men are pigs")
+ ate enough chili to fuel a power plant and drank enough lemonade and smoothies to get drawn to a fire hydrant
+ got my arse groped by a random stranger who felt me up under my skirt (and they all looked innocent when I turned)
+ cluelessly got hit on (reene had to tell me that the guy was totally hitting on me)
*Went on an almost 4-hour urban hike in DC from Alexandria to Georgetown with 2 people, one of whom had amazing light green eyes. (He's a vegetarian but really cool about the rest of us eating meat. He even picked up the tab for us two girls and we both had meat.)
+ got home late
+ I think I flirted with green eyes, he was kinda younger than me but what the heck, he thinks I'm worth an 8-hour drive
Sunday
*Museum gig
*Didn't go out with motorcycle-driving photographer
*Went out with hiking friends for lunch in Old Town
+ went for ice cream afterwards with green eyes
+ had a long walk, a metro and a car ride with same
Have you ever felt so drawn to someone that you just wanted to kiss him? I think it's pheromones. That and really amazing light green eyes and nice lips. Or the fact that he recognized Don Henley and also liked my songs (before knowing they were mine). Anyone who likes Boys of Summer (which has been playing heavy rotation on my car's disk changer lately) is good in my books.
I didn't though. Oh well, opportunity missed. Too bad he's leaving for another state soon but at least he's coming back. Except I'm always thinking of keeping it friends-level. I'm not in the mood.
