day three
monday was not as fun and exciting as the other days. after breakfast we had a lecture about fire safety. then some faculty members talked to us about courses, cocurriculars, ahs classes, etc. some other faculty talked about advising at olin, and then we met up with our advisers to have lunch together. there are 8 or so other freshmen in my "advising family", and a few more in my "extended advising family". my adviser is pretty quiet and didn't talk that much during lunch, but upperclassmen have said that he's a great guy.
relaxed for a while, then went to the office of student life for their open house. they had candy. yummy. :) relaxed in the lounge, worked on the giant 5000something piece puzzle they have there, and then went to get a calc/physics placement test. initial look-through of test showed it to be not too bad. later examination proved me very wrong.
dinner, turned in my ahs preference sheet, room.
we all had to watch the color of fear, which was a bunch of middle aged guys of different races talking about racism. then we discussed it for a while. interesting, yes, but not very excited. back to the lounge, then sleep.
