Disclaimer: I kind of got lost on this so, the information listed below will have some information that is part of a story (for example, Allison and Scott were boyfriends but they broke up later on and Scott and Stiles developed a sexual queerplatonic relationship).  Also, this happens in a world where there is an Agency, which is a secret institution of supeheroes for which Scott works, don't even ask me, I don't know where this came from.

abilities: Scott is an empath, which means that he possesses the ability to feel and manipulate the emotions of the people around him. According to his records, his powers can reach large groups of people at the same time. He can sense their emotions, search for a feeling in particular or exert different levels of empathic control over them. This can go from subtle and barely there inputs that go undetected to the person that’s being affected to a total suppression of emotion that leaves the target in a robotic state for him to command.

For the empath, Scott, the empathic control feels like turning switches on and off on the persons heads while the emotion sensing manifest by smells that he can relate to different emotions that he have experienced before (joy smells like his mother perfume, sadness smells like the bottle of wine that fell to the ground when his father left the house, calm smells like the box of cookies Stiles gave him after he proclaimed that they were going to be friends forever, etc). This, however, can vary in very rare ocassions. For example, the first time Scott felt Allison's love for him, it felt like a heartbeat beneath his fingers and the first time Scott sensed how calm Stiles felt with him it was like a little titillation throughout his body.

weaknesses: This is more an personal precautionary point than a weakness, he has to be completely concentrated when he uses his powers since they can be difficult to control and he can end up harming someone without wanting to do it (for example, when he was a child and unaware of how to control his powers, he implanted the fear he felt for his father when he was drunk on him, this ended up having a fairly disastrous ending). Now, if we have to talk about his weaknesses, we should mention that he can't manipulate other people's emotion for too long (more than twenty four hours) because he can severely hurt himself or the person.

origins: The origin of his powers is unknown, even if some scientist affirm that it is a result of a mutation that enables him to use a higher percent of his mental capacity than the average human. Scott found out about his powers when he was six years old even if he was able to sense other person’s emotions since he was a baby. He always thought everyone could do it too, but a day when he felt his mother’s pain after one of their parents fights and tried to make her happy again, he discovered that he was different than "normal" people. The rest of the story was just trial and error, trying to understand his powers and limits and, of course, not talking about them to anyone (except Allison and Stiles, but they always had a way to break his rules).

uses: Scott works for the Agency, a global secret institutions formed by people like Scott who have special abilities. He is a former agent specialized on combat and espionage that is part of the Operations division, which is a military part of the institution that’s oriented to respond to any situation that threatens any group of people of the world. He is usually assigned to missions that consists on collecting data, surveilling possible enemies and neutralizing threats. He never uses his ability to control people's emotions unless he needs to calm someone that can harm another person or himself or to stop disasters from occurring.
