Wow what a weekend...
I decided to go home over the weekend to part take in the Gallup Indian Tribal Ceremonial...other wise know as the "Ceremonial."
I was a bit upset when I check the Navajo Nation Band hotline that we decided not to do 3 events this year. I was
more upset because i arrange my travel and time around everyone so that i can go home and do all of this stuff.
I was so looking forward to march in the Thursday night parade, which i still havent done since joining the band.
I was also looking forward to doing the Friday, morning parade.
But this year as I was looking back, i was like wow, i remember when i join the band my very first gig was doing the Saturday moring parade and doing the Grand Entry at the Night performance. Then last year I had went home to par take in all of the events, not knowing that on Friday afternoon, that I was going to lose one of my grandma's. But overall, it was a lot memories.
I think my favorite part of the whole thing is doing the Saturday Night Performance Grand Entry. Its weird but fun when both the Navajo Nation Band and Zuni Tribal Band combine for 1 night. But i think the best part of the evening was not what happen at the dance arena but what happen in the parking lot... that is all i can say...for now.....
