Cecelia and Mathièu spend most of the rest of the day with the animals, setting up beds and the training ring, making sure everyone is fed and that everyone is healthy. They are just finishing loading the last of the hay into Ajax's stall when Alejandro finds them.

He frowns, but nods, blinking sleepily. "I'll be there in a few minutes," he says, not quite sure what's happening. "Where are you going again?"

Cecelia nods, and they leave.

As soon as they are out in the hallway, she turns to Grimm. "Kristtorn must have kidnapped Absinthia," she says. "Which is both good and bad. She won't harm her, but she will not be easy to track either." She sighs. "At least we know she is, technically, safe."

Cecelia, Alejandro and Grimm chase after the blood hounds, who run deep into the woods that they have camped by. The trees are thick and Alejandro can't see well in the darkness that has fallen, and he can't keep up with Cecelia, who has all eight eyes open and is right on her hounds tails.
