I just watched this (it's long -- 8 minutes), and am not sure what to think. I don't know anything about the person or organization who posted it, the "related videos" on the side give me pause, and I'll be honest; I'm confused by what could be implied from this video, if it's accurate. Another YouTube take on Islam. Probably the best known is Geert Wilders' little movie, Fitna, which intersperses belligerent quotations from the Qur'an with graphic scenes of 9/ll destruction. I just didn't like his pronunciation of "fiery"!

I thought his pronunciation of 'fiery' was interesting. It was the only word he got wrong, and he pronounced it as it logically should be pronounced, if you think of words like 'pier' and 'tier'.

So maybe it says something about me that I only got halfway through this? Without an identifed person and frame of reference I find it difficult to listen to the point of view. Plus the person is picking 3 things from a major religion - why just 3, why these 3? why not 4 or 6 or 1? and in the first thing are you using the word hijacked to get my attention or have I missed the fact that many Muslims are upset Islam has been hijacked? (Note: I don't ask those questions sarcastically, I'm just asking and the fact that I'm asking a nameless, faceless, YouTube person makes me want to walk away from the whole thing because the "set-up" isn't one I'm comfortable learning from. I'm open to anyone teaching me but I need to know a little about the teacher

I think fff pretty much summed up what I feel about it, and really my only purpose in commenting is just to add weight to what she says. This is pure propaganda, nothing less. Proof being in the eating. I have several muslims friends. I don't agree with their views on everything. There are some things with which I strongly disagree, but not one of them has ever, every comes across as believing in anything like the crap spouted in this video.

To clarify a bit more, now I'm thinking about this again (I was a bit hesitant to write too much before, because I dislike making generalisations), the third thing it says about it being okay not to tell the truth is something I've found to be true in a far more general way. I haven't observed it as specifically a thing about lying to non-Muslims, nor specifically a thing about lying about religious matters, but more a different way of approaching truth in general. The Muslims I've known (who are mostly from Pakistan or India) tend to be very free with altering the truth (and when I say 'the truth' I mean specific details of things being talked about, rather than some huge 'meaning of life' type truth) - and it's not in a malicious way, but just that being exact with the truth doesn't seem to be valued in their culture in the way that it is in Western culture. Muslim friends have often 'lied' to me, and it's not to be mean to me, or to take advanage, but simply to make our friendship run more smoothly. The untruths are not just the

1. The points may be factual, however, I still don't believe that most Muslims or even the majority, see non-muslims as the enemy. I grew up in a Muslim country and this just isn't my experience. Then again Taqiyya may run rampant and I'm having the wool pulled over my eyes.

2. I think that making judgement on an entire faith based on a fanatical portion, is like judging the west based on the beliefs of the KKK or similar.
