It's not a resolution, 'cause I'm allergic to those

I do, however, like the ideas of:
  • Eating seasonally, locally, and on-salely foods
  • Making less trips to the grocery store
  • Saving money
  • Eating more healthily
  • Using what's already in my fridge/pantry instead of throwing it away when it goes bad and buying more

You know, I've never preferred doing a plan or living by it -- seems rather limiting to me, and doesn't allow for "ooh, that sounds good -- I'm totally having THAT tonight!", but it does allow for fewer trips to the grocery .. which is less relevant in Foreign, but is more relevant here where it requires a drive to the store every time :)

Hee hee! I'm not naturally organized, but I can be if I choose. For now, in this area, I'm choosing :)

Well, so far, I spent $77.00 at the grocery store on Saturday. Besides the ingredients for this week (minus what I already had on hand, of course), I bought an extra pork tenderloin to freeze because it was on sale). I can tell you if that is really all I spend at the grocery store before Saturday, I'm already ahead. I'm fairly certain that I easily spend that much every other day if I'm not planning well. And I can also tell you that if I don't know what I'm going to do with vegetables, I often end up throwing some or a lot away, which I hate.

So even though it's only Sunday night, I'm a fan :)
