Harry Potter is here! Originally uploaded by
Antof9. A real blog entry on our trip to the Netherlands is forthcoming, but first, since
kairon13 nudged me and I had some random links to share, it was as good a time as any to do a Random Linkage entry :) Oh yes, and my Harry Potter 7 book arrived on Saturday afternoon and I have only been petting the cover. I hope to start this evening.
So here they are, in no particular order ... things I would read aloud to you if you were here:
- A very hilarious Crocs article might make some of you chuckle. My favorite part? their parents like that they are dishwasher-safe
- Brothers Gored in Pamplona Have no Regrets. It's actually a quasi-interesting article to read, but it was the title I just needed to share.
- So if you don't have anything better to do, how about visiting all 171 Manhattan Starbucks in one day? Not the most philanthropic endeavor, but kind of entertaining. I hate that he says "Man-ha-TAN" (he's obviously not a native), and I could have done without the shot of him in Depends on a treadmill, right before the "The Night Before" slide that contains a typo ("Thurday"). Highlights include Mark Linn-Baker of Perfect Strangers fame (I was a huge fan of that show!), and a section that will make you want to punch this guy. It's when he's at the 10:16-but-it-says-you're-open-until-11:00 store. "But I need to do it today! But I need to do it today! But I need to do it today! But I need to do it today!" You get the picture. Last, doesn't Starbucks sell water?!
- Stop Setting Alarms on My Biological Clock -- except for the fact that this woman wants to have children and I'm not, her perspective mirrors mine completely. Surprisingly vociferously negative comments in response to this one.
- Last and most fun, I got to see buffra last month! I decided to make it part of Random Linkage because we actually talked about it in this post. I had a very fun breakfast outside with Buffra and her sister, and I'd do it again in a minute :)
