I am so SMRT!
I took the big exit exam this morning. Because it's a doctoral program but we don't have a thesis or anything, we have to take this comprehensive exam in order to be allowed to graduate. I was in the last group of people to go, and while I wouldn't have done it any other way (because I had no outpatient experience at the other test dates), it was a bit stressful to hear everyone else talk about it after they took it and how much of an ordeal it was. I went in hearing one friend saying in my head "by the end I kept thinking, 'is this the question that's gonna fail me?'"
We needed a 65% to pass (130/200 questions), and most of the people I talked to beforehand passed by like 2-3 questions. So I was a bit worried & did review stuff over the las few months & weeks. I don't know that it necessarily paid off, but I ended up getting a 71%, 142/200!! I told one of my 3-question friends that I passed by 12, and her jaw dropped & eyes popped -- not because it was I who got it, but that anyone got that high. I later found out that the class overachievers both got 76%, but they studied. A fair amount of people also got the minimal 130/200, and 2 people didn't pass; one I wasn't surprised but one I was, very much.
Needless to say, I'm really really excited and grateful and happy. Especially because of how many I got right thanks to my last clinical. And SOOOOOOOOOOOOO relieved. Now I want the next 7 weeks to fly by!
