Starting it now. 9:30ish.
Grains:
3/4 Chocolate Malt
1/4 British Crystal 70-80
Malts:
6 lbs of British Light
1 lb of Amber Dry
Boiling Hops:
1 1/2 oz of Fuggle Hops
1/2 oz of Tettnang Hops
Finishing Hops:
1 1/2 oz of Tettnang Hops
1/2 oz of Fuggle Hops
10:15pm boil starts
Comments so far. As the batch has been boiling, I have been brewing coffee. Right now, I have 2 batches of coffee in my first fermentor. I am eyeballing how much looks like a good amount to put in the beer. When I have a measurement of how much I am using, I'll mention it. I found a article on
brewing beer with coffee that is pretty informative. There are some other recipes on there which I would like to try sometime maybe.
I used about 1 1/2 gallons of coffee.
I dropped the finishing hops at 11:07. The boil was stopped at 11:18. I mixed it with the coffee and then added water until I got to about 5 1/2 gallons.
I will drop the yeast tomorrow.
