He was confused and such, of course, but given that he still had his ring and his clothes were neatly folded next to him (that was weird) he got his bearings rapidly. [To add to the people walking by without saying anything, Fenimore crosses the square wearing a shawl much like Shirley's over a blue and white dress, as well as the standard hat, gloves, scarf, etc. expected of the time of year. Despite all that she is already wearing, she is on her way to the clothes shop to see if any more of her clothing has arrived.

She's feeling somewhat uncomfortable and that feeling increases just a touch when she notices him. It's not particularly strong and the increase is pretty small now that she knows that none of the people here are involved in the kidnapping, but she is usually a bit on guard when she's wandering around Orerines. She's also been feeling rather down lately, but she's not currently thinking about the things that are making her feel that way. Poke me if you need more (or less) detail on that.

...tl;dr, she's not going to stop to address him, but she's glancing at him occasionally as she passes.]

[Awesome--- anyway, Atsuki seeing this girl feels a strong Shinen of anxiety. It's hard to pin on a moving target though. He waits for her to stop moving for a moment there and the activates Σ]

[The erasing, searching, and imprinting process takes all of ten seconds to perform. I would write out exactly what he reads but I still haven't memorized the Lux-Pain color code just yet so I wouldn't trust myself to pull it off faithfully. Fenimore might feel some of her anxiety about Atsuki getting if not broken, distracted as a result of this reading]

[Her Shinen are varied - one of them is remarkably strong and linked to an old memory, perhaps a cultural belief. This belief is causing her to be uneasy around me.

"Orerines..." that word is stained with a strong sense of fear as well as a little anger, hatred, and sorrow. The memories of this girl must be stained with images of the actions of "Orerines..."

She's not human, despite what she looks like.

And the other Shinen speaks of another, different, sorrow. Something has been eating at her mind recently. She is looking for clothing... perhaps she too is a recent arrival.

And once he finishes his inner monologue-]

[The world may never know what got Ryoji out of bed this early in the morning -- however, he may or may not have fallen out of it. Regardless, he's looking a little rumpled and tired as he wanders in the direction of the bakery in search of something for breakfast, trying unsuccessfully to cover a yawn with his hand.]

[And it's not a Shinen - far from it, really - but Atsuki senses something around the boy. It feels similar to when he was in the morgue with Mr. Takano... But he's going to try to ignore that for the time being. And eat his apple. He will be watching though]

[And now he's going to scratch at his chin, trying to remember something for school.] Ahh... wasn't there something due today? A worksheet, maybe? ... or was it that paper on holidays? Ahh... I don't remember... Maybe I should ask Minato... but will I have time?... If it's due after lunch, maybe... but is it even worth worrying about, at this point?...

[His first reaction is to search for Shinen to try to figure out this guy's problem for him. But then... there's no Shinen. That is unsettling and combined with the feeling similar to death that he's getting right now...

He stands and alks on over to the guy]

[Damn right they're nice eyes. Eyes that I found my contacts for at that. But aside from this-]

Good morning. [And that's his verbal reply. In the moment that follows, Atsuki sensing the Shinen lurking around this guy, uses Σ]

[Search, erase, imprint... all of it takes only about five seconds at best, and following this it might clear the guy's head out at bit, or at least streamline it. Stuff like that. But anyway-]

[While maintaining eye contact, he inner monologues the following, going over what he just "heard" in the Shinen. Or read. Either or:

His Shinen is coated with anxiety and sadness... He worries about other people's reception of him.

But the sadness is deeper... Isamu, Chiaki. These individuals hold some relevance to this boy and the choices he was forced to make.

A demon... he believes in his heart that he is human however. The reflection is similar to certain people infected with Silent I've seen before.

If nothing else, this reading explains the weird appearance the guy in front of him. Not that Atsuki reacted to that beyond his eyes briefly widening just a smidgen]
