This is us. . .Unsticking the Label. We played a show on Thursday. . .Not the best thing we've ever done. The first song - Zombie - started out really strong. Until we got to my solo, no, I didn't screw up my solo like you are all thinking. I played it probably the best that I ever have. But you couldn't hear me. . .at all. Everyone was confused and like "Geez, where is Clair at? What the heck is she doing over there in the corner?" Then everyone stops and oh, then you can hear me. I just stop and shrug. Okai, let's go on with the show. So we play Ghost of a Good Thing. We have practiced this thing into the ground. . .Why should we practice it more? It's the one song we can all play in our sleep. . .Or atleast we thought that we could. Then we go to play it, ahh, I played the ending atleast 5 times through before we decided to end the song. It was good Improv between me and Kikue, too bad the rest of the band couldn't hear her prompting me to keep going. We finished that and sounded okai, I guess. But it's when we got to Niki FM that all hell broke loose for UTL. We go to start it and Kikue turns towards me, " I can't do it, Clair." "Yes, you can. You just did it amazingly in the parking lot. You have to do it." I start playing and everyone joins in after the intro. Kikue's intro comes up and she just freezes, completely. I hold up my hand and stop the rest of the band. "Kikue, go grab the words." She goes and grabs them and we start over. After that we just kept slaughtering the song but we just kept going and finished together which is all that really matters, right? Daniel said that the chorus was really strong. . .The last song was just kinda there. At this point we were just trying to finish.
