I have now made out with a pretty hot guy, who kept referring to me as a beautiful woman, as highly educated, very young-looking, and as "getting more interesting by the minute." He treated me amazingly - a complete gentleman, opening doors, paying for everything, letting me walk ahead of him, driving me home...he set a great standard. He is a world-class Tae Kwon Do competitor and boxer, as well as a director of finance and real estate investor. Also, it was fun making out with him because he has a beautiful body. Hehehe - more of that, please! The date ended because we were making out pretty hard, and I kept pushing his hand away from the Golden Palace of the Himalayas, and he said he needed to stop because he's getting too aggressive.
Such a nice guy, though I'm definitely more educated than he is on a lot of things. It's one thing that I pride myself on: being able to hold my own in a conversation on most topics. It was hard having to stop and explain a lot of what I was saying to him. I just realized I've had to do that with just about every guy I've dated, except for Sebastian. I think it's because I feel intimidated when a guy knows more than me about a lot of things. I should look for someone on my level, though - it would keep me mentally stimulated in a relationship.
All of this said, I'm feeling good about Tinder and using it when going back to Denver. It's not at all like the online dating I tried in New York and hated - with Tinder, it's essentially seeing who's close by, who's attractive, who's attracted to you, and if the basic stuff lines up (age, distance...that might be it). So smart - I don't want to go into something knowing everything about the person already; it takes the fun out of getting to know someone and feels very inauthentic. This actually felt like a real date, not an interview.
So, point for the home team! My seal is broken - successful date and awesome fooling around with someone since Doron. I feel desirable and cool again.
Now I just have to get my fucking life back, and I'll be good. Two days until Josh and Robin come back; four days until home.
